INDIA’S CARBON CAPTURE & UTILIZATION NETWORK (CO2INDIA) aims to bring together Indian researchers who are working on CO2, to achieve Carbon Neutrality: India’s path to ‘Net Zero’.
Let us connect everyone in India (faculty, scientists, postdocs, students, industry researchers, policymakers etc.) who aims to contribute to CO2 research and development of indigenous CCU technologies and tackle one of the biggest challenges of our times, “Climate Change,” and save humanity. Join the network https://www.co2india.org/ We are also organizing a virtual symposium to launch CO2India network on 15th July 2021 from 2.30 to 6 pm using the Zoom webinar platform. We kindly invite you to this launch event. Symposium will start at 2.30 pm, with an introduction of the network, its aims, and objectives, followed by four short talks from core members ( 3 to 4 pm). From 4 to 6 pm, we will conduct a discussion session on the topic, “India’s Carbon Zero Path to Combat Climate Change: Role of Researchers, Industry and Policy Makers.” We kindly invite you to participate in this meeting. Prof. Ramkrishna Sonde will conduct this discussion meeting. Format of this meeting will be; Prof. Sonde will start the discussion with a brief presentation (~ 15 minutes) on challenges of developing CO2 capture and conversion technologies and then each advisory member will provide their views and opinions (~5 minutes) on various aspects of India’s carbon zero path, including research, engineering, funding, government policies, the role of industry, the role of investors etc. based on their expertise. Our advisory members are from diverse fields; hence this will be a unique discussion. We will then open up the debate among advisory members, core members and all attendees.
